Monday,14th of september 2009, Community Action At UBD.

Today, we are asked to do some survey around ubd to check out for the usage of electricity for our next activity. Here, we're set to be in partner, Mohammad Azmey bin yunos and Ak Md Azri bin Pg Haji Metussin. We started the survey this morning around 8a.m. Our location was exIPISHOA

TO BEGIN, we like to mention about GLOBAL WARMING,it has become the main climatic problem that need to be concern on. In other country in the world,they have taken some actions to reduce global warming. Also from our last activity,watching "home" video,they have opened our mind about the climatic problems that we are now faced on. Its up to us now,to be or not to be concern or realise how bad the global warming could be.

As the world develop,causes of getting polluted is high.Electricity, it can also causes pollutions. Too much use of electricity means that more and more fossil fuels are burned to get the electricity. Fossil fuels also known as petroleum or oil, which burned will produced kinds of gases. This gases are called greenhouse gasses which can polluted the air,water and also land. So we need to make sure the used of electricity only used for the right purposed and not to be wasted.

In addition,From the survey we made at UBD exIPISHOA building, we found out that many of the electricity are wasted. Lights are on all the way the corridors and stairs,even the sunlight has brightened the place. Some of the room are left behind with airconditioners and lights are still on. Automatic airconditioner set on from the main generator which linked through every room at the second level.Also windows are opened and switch plug-in still on. This wastage might increase the possiblity of getting global warming and fastern it.

This pic was at 8.05 a.m at the main walkway to the building. The lights are still on eventhough the sunlight has brighten the place.

The light pass through the corridor and stair. But the light still on.

Those are the room that left behind with airconditioner,lights and switch turn ON.

In conclusion, global warming has now become the major probelm to all of us,yet we still less concern about it. we might not be able to stop it from happening,but we still can help it to reduce and slower the effect by reducing the greenhouse gasses,which come from the usage of electricity. Earth is now depending on us..

Through out the video,it understands me how important our earth is. EARTH,living on it some different life,such humans,animals,tree,seas,ocean,mountain,vegetation etc. All of them are linked,needing eachother to survive.


The earth is now 4billion years old that we only live in it for 200,000 years ago. but by that short time,our earth has suffer from the destruction done by human which come from very different ways and aspect.humans are trying to improve the quality of life and their needs. This causes long-term effect to earth. Such destructions was deforestation,greenhouse,drilling,mining,shipping,industry,argriculture,transport etc. Yet they are not satisfied.By all this,as mention in the video, about 5,000 people a day die because of dirty drinking water, 1 billion people have no access to safe drinking water and in poverty.

Life on earth is linked,as mention by the speaker in the video.As what i understand,as we all should understand, All living things need eachother to survive.LIFE CYCLE is the most important thing. The sun,water,air, and soil are the main important source. Animals,tree,human and other living organisam need the sun,water,air and soil to survive to give them the energy,foods and resource for them to develop. As an example, THE SUN, it give energy to living thing,to cycle the water,to cycle the air and many other uses of the heat come from THE SUN. But without notice,human have made a big change in LIFE CYCLE which become unstable.

There are several factors that causes life cycle become unstable. The first factor is, the greenhouse.Burning and cutting down the forest in large scale. it has polluted the air which obviously causes global warming. The Ozone layer become thin which slowly increased the temperature of the earth itself. Second factor is the food production. The earth populations have incerased rapidly each year. which mean they have to produce more and more foods. until now,three quarter of the fishing ground is exhausted. large number of them are catch than they can reproduced. Third factor is water pollution. Toxic,ferteliser,rubbish that come from the industry and factory or from the individual itself. Many water living organisam have died due to polluted rivers and seas. This also effect the humans or animals when there's no more clean and safe water to drink.

Besides, as natural life cycle is linked,where is the "human and human" linked? Some part of the world population are still suffered from poverty and poorness. Some rich country spend their money to improve their military power,buildings,such as skyscraper,industries, but yet forget that there are still many people,lifes,out there that needs support from them.

In conclusion, We all should realise how important the EARTH to us. Today we might cannot stop it,but we still can reduced the destruction.and yet EVERYTHING on earth are connected. once we destroy them,it will effect everything. Then i will destroy us back. Not to forget the moral of the story, to help eachother,to support as we live on the same earth and share what we have.
